Shonen Jump, The Weekly Japanese magazine has revealed on its 2nd 2016 issue that the anime adaptation for Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma manga will be getting a second season. The release date and more details about the anime will be revealed in future issues of the magazine.

The first season of "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" anime aired from Mai 2015 until September and contains 24 episodes.
ANN depicts the manga story as follows:
The anime story revolves around a boy named Soma, who works with his father in his family's restaurant. His father is a cooking master. Soma usually faces the hard working days with his father. His father enrolls him in one of the elite culinary schools which is really difficult to get into. And the graduation rate in it, is only 10%.
